First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine

First Pitch Pitching Machines are known for their high top-end speeds. The First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine is no different. With top speeds up to 105 MPH, this machine will challenge any hitter!

Not only does the First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine bring the heat, but it also throws great breaking pitches. The machine is capable of throwing left-handed curveballs, right-handed curveballs, left-handed sliders, right-handed sliders, knuckleballs and more.

Reasons to Buy the First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine

Dual Wheel Control Dial

Both wheels on the First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine have a separate dial. Each dial shows speeds from 10 to 100 MPH. You can place the dial above 100, to set the speed of the wheel to 105. You can also set the wheels below 10 MPH to either turn off the machine or have one wheel at a standstill.

Easy Adjustments

The machine comes with a two-handed handle that allows for easy adjustments of the wheels. You can simulate a left-handed breaking pitch and then switch to a right-handed break pitch almost instantaneously.

The handles also control the horizontal and vertical range of motion, allowing the user to go low and inside one pitch and then high and away the next pitch. The handles also come in handy for fielding drills.

Two 1/3 HP Motors

The First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine comes with two 1/3 HP motors (one for each wheel) which gives it the power to reach top speeds of 105 MPH.

Commercial Grade Pitching Machine

Little leagues, schools, and universities throughout the country rely on the First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine for training. First Pitch builds the machines to be reliable and durable to make for a consistent training partner.

Steel & Aluminum Construction

The First Pitch Machine combines the strength of steel with the weight-saving of aluminum. The steel structure protects the machine from wear and tear. Many machines are at risk from lines drives hit back at them; however, the First Pitch uses the steel structure to protect the machine.

Easy to Carry

The two-wheel machine comes equipped with a handle to help the user carry the machine on and off the field.

Shaped Ball Track Chute

The machine comes with a baseball chute that is the precise size for the most accurate pitches. You would not want a chute larger in size since it would give the ball more room to move, causing less accurate pitches.

Great Price

The First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine combines the quality and features of the far more expensive JUGS Pitching Machine. The machine has all the same capabilities of its top competitors and is only two-thirds of the price.

USA Manufactured

First Pitch manufacturers the machine in Minnesota with parts coming from other USA vendors. For example, the machine comes with a Leeson Motor which is made in the USA.

Powder Coated Aluminum

First Pitch powder-coats the parts to prevent rusting.

360-Degree Turning Base

The machine comes on a 360-degree swivel allowing the machine to transition from one side of the field to the other in a matter of seconds.

Great for Fielding Exercises

With the 360-degree swivel and the ability to throw ground balls and pop flies, the machine is perfect for fielding practice.

Pitching Machine Hitting Practice Capabilities

Throws up to 105 MPH

Both wheels can be set to pitch 105 MPH. However, we recommend setting the wheels at different speeds. When both wheels are set at the same speed it will create a knuckleball/split-finger fastball with little to no spin on the ball.

Note – Always make sure you throw a couple of practice pitches to make sure the pitch is going to the spot you intended, especially when pitching at high speeds.

Ability to Throw Breaking Pitches

The spin on the ball needed to throw breaking pitches is created by setting the wheels at different speeds. The independently operated dials control each wheel. You can set the speed of each wheel between 0 and 105 MPH. The machine can throw curveballs, sliders, knuckleballs, fastballs, and tailing fastballs.

Simulate Left-Handed & Right-Handed Pitches

The machine has a side-to-side adjustment that allows for a variety of different pitches. You will be able to simulate left and right-handed pitchers by how you position the machine. You can also set the machine up to simulate side arm pitches from both the left and right side.

First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine FAQ

Q: Why is the First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine far less expensive than comparable machines?
A: Many other pitching machine manufacturers charge you for the brand name. With First Pitch, you are receiving a high quality, commercial grade pitching machine at a fraction of the price. In some cases, you are saving upwards of a $1,000 for a machine that has the same capabilities and functionalities.
Q: Does this machine throw both baseballs and softballs?

A: There are multiple different options for this machine. One option allows for just baseballs, while another allows for just softballs. The third option is a combo machine that throws both baseballs and softballs.

This machine comes with one set of baseball legs and one baseball chute. The First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine comes with two sets of legs and two chutes for baseballs and softballs.

Q: What type of balls do you recommend for the pitching machine?
A: First Pitch designs their machines to use real leather baseballs and softballs. It can also use dimpled baseballs, pitching machine leather baseballs, and many other practice baseballs.
Q: What is the wheel’s recovery time?
A: It takes the wheels 3-6 seconds to fully recover.
Q: What age group do you recommend for this machine?
A: The velocity and variety of pitches this machine is capable of pitching lends itself to middle school, high school, and college athletes. However, many parents who anticipate their kids playing baseball for years to come will buy this machine to help them train, rather than buying a machine they will outgrow and having to buy a new machine a few years down the line.
Q: Can the machine run on a generator?
A: Yes, the machine can run off a 1200W (or greater) generator. It also runs on 110v electric.

1 review for First Pitch Curveball Pitching Machine

  1. Coach Andrew

This machine does it all. Throws all types of breaking pitches and some high speed fastballs. I am a high school baseball coach and the First Pitch 2 Wheel Machine really keeps my players on their toes. Great training tool. Looked into some of the more expensive machines but this machine saved me money and allowed me to save the rest of our budget to spend elsewhere.
