Reasons to Buy the First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine

1/4 HP Motor

The Baseline Pitching Machine comes with a ¼ HP motor. First Pitch uses U.S. manufacturers for all the motors that come with their pitching machines.

First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine Speed

The Baseline Machine throws pitches up to 70 MPH. Similar pitching machines have top speeds maxing out in the 60 MPH range.

Commercial Grade Pitching Machine at an Affordable Price

The First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine is the perfect machine to use for your little league. It has the commercial quality and durability that will allow the machine to be used for years to come.

All Steel Construction

The Baseline is built with an all-steel construction. The chute, tripod base, and legs are all made from steel. The motor casing is also built with a 1/8” steel casing, providing security to your pitching machine’s motor from line drives back towards the machine.

Comes Standard as Baseball/Softball Combo Machine

The First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine throws baseballs, 11” softballs, and 12” softballs. The machine will come with one set of steel legs that are reversible. The machine will come with two different chutes. One chute is for baseball and the other chute is for softball.

Quick Transition between Baseball & Softball

There are two steps to transition your pitching machine from to baseball to softball or vice versa. The first step is reversing the legs. The legs have spring loaded buttons that make removing them and installing them on the Baseline take a matter of seconds. The second step is switching the chute. The whole process will only take a minute or two.

Throws Real Baseballs & Softballs

The First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine will throw real leather baseballs, 11” softballs, and 12” softballs. The machine can also throw pitching machine balls, dimpled balls, and other practice balls.

Easy to Use Speed Dial

The Baseline has a speed dial that goes 0 through 7, representing 0 MPH to 70 MPH. You place the dial in between numbers to throw a pitch in the middle of the two speeds. For example, if you wanted to throw a 65 MPH pitch, you would place the dial between the six and seven. Make sure to flip the on/off switch to off when you are done with practice rather than setting the dial to 0.

360-degree Swivel / Perfect for Fielding

The Baseline is easy to adjust both horizontally and vertically and has a 360-degree swivel. The swivel allows you to send one pitch towards third base and the next towards first base. The machine can pitch both ground balls and pop flies.

Baseline Pitching Machine FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the First Pitch Baseline and the First Pitch Original?

A: There are two big differences between the two machines. The first is an advantage for the Original and the second is an advantage for the Baseline Pitching Machine. The Original can throw up to 80 MPH, while the Baseline has top speeds of 70 MPH.

The 2nd difference is the First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine comes on a 360-degree swivel, while the Original does not have this feature. The 360-degree swivel makes the Baseline an attractive machine to use for fielding practice.

Q: Can you use the pitching machine for fielding exercises?

A: The XL and Baseline Pitching Machine are the two First Pitch Pitching Machines that are recommended for fielding exercises. Both pitching machines come on a 360-degree swivel. This allows coaches to send balls all over the field to keep all players involved. The machine throws ground balls and pop flies.

Q: What type of balls do you recommend for the pitching machine?

A: The First Pitch Baseline Pitching Machine comes as combo pitching machine meaning it will be able to throw both baseballs and softballs. Real leather balls can be used with the machine. The machine can also pitch dimpled balls, pitching machine balls, and other practice balls.

baseballs and softballs

Q: How long does the wheel take to recover after each pitch?

A: The wheel takes 5-8 seconds to fully recover from the previous pitch. The recovery depends on the speeds of the pitching you are throwing. 5-8 seconds gives the batter time to get back in his stance and ready for the next pitch.
Q: Can the machine run on a generator?
A: Yes, the machine can run off a 1000W (or greater) generator. It also runs on 110v electric.
