Pitch Pro 796 Pitching Mound
Pitch Pro built the 796 Pitching Mound to be one of the largest 6″ pitching mounds. The large length and width give taller pitchers plenty of space to work with which is why it is most popular for 10+ year old little league divisions. Since the mound has large dimensions, it is much heavier than the 465 and 486. Even though it weighs 220 pounds, it is still a portable mound and can be moved with three adults.

Incredibly Long Stride Length
The first main advantage of the Pitch Pro 796 is the stride length. With the 796, you will have a 66″ long stride length. This long of a stride length will accommodate nearly every little league player.
Extra Width
Another top feature of the 796 Pitching Mound is the width. The 796 has a large width of 7 feet. In comparison, the 486 is four feet wide. The extra three feet of width gives the portable mound a more gentle slope to the ground. Additionally, it allows pitchers to perform pickoff moves.
Fiberglass Core
A pitching mound of this size needs a strong core. Luckily, Pitch Pro builds all their pitching mounds with a fiberglass shell. Fiberglass pitching mounds have proven to be stronger, more durable, and hold up against the elements better than alternative pitching mounds. How does the 796 Pitching Mound Ship?
The Pitch Pro 796 is a large mound, therefore, it must ship via LTL Freight. Due to the size and weight, all 796 orders must ship to a commercial address. Many freight companies will not ship such large items to a residential address.
The portable mound will ship on a pallet. Due to the large dimensions, a liftgate can’t be used to help get the mound off the truck. Instead, you will need three adults to help get the mound safely off of the truck bed. Luckily, the shipping company will call you beforehand to schedule a day and time that you can take receipt.
