Spinball Pitching Machine
The Spinball Pitching Machine is one of the highest end machines on the market. Spinball designs their machines with extreme accuracy for the highest level of play. They only manufacture two-wheel and three-wheel machines. Spinball Pitching Machines have led the industry with some of the most advanced technology and components.
You may be asking yourself, are they Spinball or Rawlings? Spinball is an independent company that is officially licensed to manufacture and sell Rawlings Sporting Goods. Spinball manufactures and assembles all their machines at their warehouse in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Key Features of the Spinball Pitching Machine
Unmatched Accuracy
You will hear a lot of pitching machine manufactures claim their machine have precise accuracy. This is not always the case when using anything other than dimpled balls. Spinball put their machines to the test. Their two-wheel machines threw 97 out of 100 real leather baseballs for strikes and 100 out of 100 dimpled balls for strikes. The three-wheel machine was able to throw 99 out of 100 leather balls for strikes with both the low seam balls and the dimpled balls.
Uses Both Real and Dimpled Balls
All of the Rawlings and Spinball Pitching Machines work with both dimpled balls and real baseballs or softballs. We recommend that you use the dimpled balls in the cage and the real balls out on the field. This will give players a real game feel when stepping up the plate or doing defensive drills.
Fast Recovery Time
Due to the high quality one-inch thick wheel treads that the Spinball Pitching Machine uses, the wheels recover for the next pitch in under three seconds. Unlike some of the other machines on the market that take up to eight seconds to get back up to speed, their machines recover quickly. This ensures that you do not have to play the guessing game of whether the machines are ready to pitch another ball. By the time the batter gets back into his/her stance, their machines will have already fully recovered.
Highest Quality Machine Motors
Spinball uses industrial grade motors. They only use motors that are American made and feature an oversized, hardened stainless steel shaft to ensure the longevity of the machine. The machines motors are then protected by a ¼” steel frame. This will ensure that you will not have to worry about players hitting the machine with line drives and causing damage.
Lightweight machine
Spinball’s aerospace engineer worked at Boeing for 14 years before he decided to work on the Spinball Pitching Machine. When he designed the machines, he wanted to make a high quality yet easy to transport machine. It can be a real pain having a pitching machine that is so heavy, you can barely take it in and out of the cage. They design their machines to be some of the lightest 2 Wheel and 3 Wheel machines available.
Use with a Generator
All of their Pitching Machines can be used with a portable generator. They recommend an 800-watt minimum for their 2 Wheel Machines and 1000 watts for the 3-wheel machines.
Easily Switch from Baseball to Softball
Spinball offers all their machine for baseball, softball, cricket, or some combination of the three. Because it can be used so many ways, they have made it very easy to convert the machine from one set up to the next. It can be done in 3 easy steps. 1. Switch the legs 2. Change the ball chute 3. Adjust motor for different balls. All of this will only take between 5-10 minutes.
